A BRIEF HISTORY OF IELI
IELI’s founder, Dr. Stephen Benigno, believes that the driving force in education today is teacher empowerment and transformational leadership. An educator with over 40 years of experience, Mr. Benigno had the vision to inspire, encourage, and support educational organizations throughout the world.
Sharing in this vision, was Mrs. Mariela Larrosa, an experienced international education professional with a passion for social justice and a strong belief that education is the vehicle for social improvement and equality. She joined IELI with a commitment to effectively lead school transformation through leadership training that fosters the well-being of school leaders, teachers, and students and supports Social and Emotional Learning.
Subsequently joining the team and sharing in the organization’s vision, was Dr. Zita Tiamuh, an avid educator with experience and a passion for research, technology, evaluation, and assessment. She believes that leveraging data and technology are the cornerstone of teaching, learning, and institutional effectiveness.
